I adore her too. Don't even know why. But she's seems smart. And everything is so weirdly watchable that you almost can't help yourself.

I couldn't get through the whole song but I'll guess and say, thank god she didn't throw any ba bas in with the ra ras and ga gas...

This is a guilty pleasure.  Also Miley Cyrus's "Party in the USA."

I dunno. I think Lady Gaga has miles more substance than Miley and a thousand of her pop tart ilk.

FS

Dunno.  But that freaking song is catchy.

Remember that British rapping dwarf that everybody was talking about a couple years back?  Lady Gaga is 2009's version of that gal.  We're all going to be embarrassed for liking Lady Gaga in about 15 months.  Make it 12.

Dabysan

Would that be Lady Sovereign? I did kinda like her. But will spit in my hand and bet you right now that Lady Gaga remains relevant. I think she's this generation's Madonna. And it certainly doesn't hurt her chances that she's a writer and proven hit-maker for other artists.

I'll bet you a shiny nickel that she produces another successful record within three years.

I'm out of my element on this one.  I can only name three Madonna songs (Like a Virgin, La Isla Bonita, Who's That Girl) and I only made it through 57 seconds of the Lady Gaga song.  Just not my thing.

Dabysan

I'm not a fan of Madonna's music (though I can name a few more songs than you) but I do recognize how she differs from contemporaries like, say, Debby Gibson.

I do like when mainstream pop artists show a capacity to break with convention and do something interesting.

...and the songs make me want to shake my ass.

...and the songs make me want to shake my ass.

That's what it's all about right there.  I can't argue with that.
